The Hon. Mary Julia Milles was the daughter of George John Milles, 4th Baron Sondes of Lees Court and Eleanor Knatchbull. She married Edward Fellowes, 1st Baron de Ramsey of Ramsey Abbey, son of William Henry Fellowes and Emma Benyon, on 22 July 1845.

She was the mother of Ailwyn Fellowes, who is shown on an accompanying CdV in this collection.
